M4 completed and deployed. Compiled all 18 Records of Resistance into a single document. Created M4_SYSTEM_ARCHITECTURE.md and M4_COMPLETION_SUMMARY.md. Built the Fine Motor Precision Test (portal-based, camera + MediaPipe, double-flip fix applied instantly from Session 7). Shelved Rhythm Sync to M5. Deployed to Vercel. Reorganized the repo.
AI suggested including Rhythm Sync in M4 — "functional enough to ship, users can work around the rough edges, breadth demonstrates the platform concept." I shelved it. The Position Statement says Baseline provides "instant, meaningful feedback." A test that only I had tested doesn't meet that bar. Both external user testers used Reaction Time and Bilateral Coordination. Including an untested fourth test would dilute the quality of three solid ones. Three user-tested assessments answer the quarter question more convincingly than four shaky ones.
Fine Motor Precision Test: Built with the Session 7 camera mirroring fix applied from the first line — CSS scaleX(-1) on the video element, (1-x)*width coordinate math. Zero debugging time on mirroring. Portal-based maze mechanic: navigate a hand-controlled portal through a maze to the exit, no timer, motor control measured by precision of movement.
Deployment challenge: Static HTML files with no build step. Solved with buildCommand: "" in vercel.json and a root redirect in index.html. Deployment was straightforward once the build configuration was correctly set to empty.
Depth over breadth is a principle that's easy to state and hard to defend when you're near a milestone. Three well-tested assessments are a better answer to the quarter question than four rough ones. The Records of Resistance document proved useful here — looking back at 17 previous decisions reinforced that quality over quantity had been the consistent choice throughout the project.
M4 is deployed. Baseline is live. Three assessment tests using camera, touch, and the browser's existing APIs, measuring reaction time, bilateral coordination, and fine motor precision. Results stored and graphed over time. This is a direct, deployed answer to the quarter question.
M5: Security hardening (RLS, XSS, auth), Fine Motor Precision refinement, Rhythm Sync added to live platform. Then M6 documentation.
